the one that came around 5 years after the last

You know what i HATE about our generation? We're sooo lazy! We just procrastinate and dwadle and put off..it's disgusting, we are pathetic excuses for human beings......we promise to finish something, we never do, we start blogs never to update them.....and try to get away with that by launching bitter attacks on our generation so that noone comments on how it's been over 4 months since our last post. (did i pull it off?)

Hm, you would think, wouldnt you, that I'd have 4 months worth of fabulous views to share (assuming i ever did share views, leave alone fabulous ones on this blog) but im feeling oddly empty....nope, not looking for love or redemption or a sense of meaning and other rubbish, but empty because i realised i dont have much to say. Annoying, since during the board-time i had quite a bit to say, and wrote out things...lists, cricket hysteria....... but now im drawing a blank. And its annoying me, since i think my blog is the least updated and i was hoping to come back with a bang! hm, can i say that this post is trying to bring out the sheer futileness (did i just make that up?) of an enthusiastic writer (my own meaning applies here) who just cant think of anything to say right now, but rest assured when she's settling down to watch tv, she'll think of something.....but being as lazy as she is, (it's a generation thing) she'll convince herself that it's quite boring actually, and crank up the volume.

So yesterday South Africa's world cup came to an end, a little over month after India's (i just HAD to mention it, come on) and in a very unelegant way....Australia crushed them, teasing a bit with a 6/1....then a 44/2.....before getting bored of toying with them and going in for the kill (although, the proteas did make it to the semi, after last world cup's easily avoidable mistake- for the unitiated, match was cut short and Duckworth-Lewis applied. only Shaun Pollock -the then captain, removed after the match, the end of South Africa's campaign- mistook the figure on the little slip of paper coach handed him to be the number of runs required to win, it was ,ofcourse, the number of runs required to tie. this mistake lost South Africa all mathematical chance of progressing into the quarter finals)....final should be interesting, we all know who we want to win yet I can't help but think they're not going to. It's not anything apart from the fact that Australia is just too damn good......sounds hopeless, but there you go. Sri Lanka is an amazing team, they qualified with style, they play well yet dont have the aura of invincibility that the Australians have, although ive heard some members of our team beg to differ. But still, it's not over yet.....

ello Lakshmy!
For someone who just wrote the most futile post in the most brilliant style I dont think you should worry too much about any character flaws!
I'm no cricket buff myself but i still think sri lanka can pull it off! Just bear in mind the kind of over confidence and media fuelled ego boosts the Aussies are dealing with...someone smell complacency? Besides, Sri lanka's pretty kick ass themselves, and the closest to indian right now so WOO SL!
Im done.

As someone who blogged with a fierce frequency of about once in 4-5 months, this post isn't very flattering. The allusions to "bitter attacks on our generation" makes this seem even more like pointed fingers.

In my defense, I don't see the point in blogging about my days. Whether readers find it dull or intriguing, I feel obliged to give the readers something when I blog; and if I don't see any real value in what I give, I decide not to give at all. Maybe something is better than nothing, but that's certainly not a principle I follow.

Swimming through my variegated thoughts, if I find something that I think is worth plastering on the web, I blog. Of course, what may be of no value to me may be of value to another, but I haven't come to terms with giving readers what they want and stopping there. There's a little satisfaction involved, knowing that I've got myself a masterpiece beforehand. That's probably where the ego kicks in.

And before I know it, I'm a lit fuse in your comment box instead of on my own blog. Oops.

well well well... lookie who it is! back, and blogging all nonsense!

im with you there. im waiting for Sri Lanka to pull off their best performance and kick the Aussie's butts. SL winning is the next best thing. but i have a feeling it'll be the same sad story of our loss in the finals in the last world cup.

oooo! i bet that malinga takes 3 wickets. but mcgrath beats him with a 4 wicket haul. [i hope your dad doesnt read this!]

"futility" - but i like the making-up words shyte!

blogstipated in ur own little way? it happens...hope australia wins! why? i am somewhat possessive about india - only they can win and no other asian nation..dont ask!

i say keep blogging, however baseless u think ur blogposts are, because u wont really know how good they are until u get a reaction. and besides all that, it'll help! it always does. it's almost as if u have something to be proud of!
